Doris worked in the telecommunications industry for most of her professional career, serving Diamond State Telephone Company, Bell Atlantic, AT&T, Lucent Technologies, and Avaya. After a brief retirement, she elected to work for the Delaware Department of Corrections. She was to begin her well-deserved retirement and fulfill her dream of travelling and enjoying time with her husband, daughter, siblings, and friends.
