Sean Joseph Burke

Sean Joseph Burke, age 57, of Bear, DE, formerly of Holland, PA, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
Sean was a longtime employee at GE Aviation in the Environmental Management System group. He was a loving, kind, and simple man. Sean enjoyed traveling with Dora, his best friend and love of his life. During his free time he enjoyed being with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eileen M. Schmid, William J. Burke; his two sisters Mary Kathryn Smith, Elizabeth Marie Burke; his father-in-law Ralph E. Northrup, and mother-in-law Eleanor M. Benson.
Sean is survived by his wife Dora M. Burke (Northrup), siblings William F. (Annmarie), Michael J., Kevin J. (Karen), Brian J., Peter J. (Phyllis), and Maureen A. Sonnie (Norbert); along with his sister-in-laws Sandra Northrup (Dean), Deborah Mayer, Christine Boyer, Carol Barker (Dan), Joan Northrup, Amar Kaur Northrup (Guru Sandesh), Donna Northup; with numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Sean’s life will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 1 pm at McGlynns Pub, 108 Peoples Plaza, Newark, DE 19702.
