Alice Andreola Obituary

Alice R. Andreola, age 78, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Seasons Hospice Center at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware following a 16 year battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Alice was born in the Bronx, NY to James and Rita (Winter) Baloghy, both deceased.  Her beautiful sewing, knitting, quilting, and needlework projects brightened the homes of all of her loved ones. All her life, Alice was a caring nurturer and lover of nature. She was married to her best friend and loving husband, Michael, for 56 years. Alice graduated from Bergen Community College and worked as a registered nurse, lovingly caring for developmentally disabled adults at Spectrum for Living in Westwood, NJ. After her retirement, Alice taught hearing-impaired people at the Saint Augustine School for the Deaf in Florida. An avid student of nature, Alice knew the name of every flower and insect she encountered, and left her children with an appreciation of "all creatures great and small".

Alice is survived by her husband, Michael Andreola, her daughters Marie Sommers and Elisabeth Kutler, six grandchildren, Daniel, Michael, Julia, Zackary, Hannah, and Jeremy, as well as her brother, Michael Baloghy.

Funeral services will be held at BEESON FUNERAL HOME, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702 on Friday January 11, 2019 at 3:30 pm where friends may call beginning at 2:30 pm.
