Ashley Marie (nee Bunner) Gollahon

4:08pm, August 21, 2018, Heaven gained an angel. At just 28 years young, Delaware native Ashley Gollahon (formerly Ashley Bunner) put on her wings and went home to be with her Heavenly Father.

With a loving passion for dance, Ashley spent her childhood years in dance shoes and tutus, ultimately taking that passion throughout her high school years and teaching dance to several hundred aspiring childhood dancers.

Upon graduating from Saint Elizabeth’s High School, Ashley obtained a degree in Business Administration from Goldey-Beacom College, and then relocated to North Carolina to be with her husband (then boyfriend) as he was serving in the Marine Corps.

In February, 2016, upon relocating to Delaware, Ashley found out she was pregnant with the “little man” that would ultimately become the love of her life; Jordan. During her third trimester, Ashley was diagnosed with breast cancer, and life changed as she knew it.

Through chemotherapy, radiation, multiple surgeries, two cancer metastases, and figuring out how to be a new mommy, Ashley decided that wasn’t enough of a challenge for her. In 2017, Ashley enrolled in Wilmington University, and was awarded her Accounting degree the following year.

Ashley’s memory will forever be kept alive by her husband and best friend (Tyler), son (Jordan), mother (Marie), father (Glen), brothers (Brian & Shawn), three step children (Tommy, Cameron, & Makayla), and so many other friends and family members. “You never really die if your memory lives on.”

Final services for Ashley will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm

at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702.
