Charlotte Ann (Groh) Powers

Charlotte A. Powers (Groh), 83, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Churchman Village, Newark, DE.

Charlotte was born and raised in Wilmington.　 She was a homemaker dedicated to raising her children and grandchildren.　 She was a talented seamstress making clothing and home furnishings for family and friends. Charlotte was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking, swimming, and spending time at the beach.

She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Ardna C. Powers, Sr, and her son Ricky. She is survived by her daughter: Carla Loving (Jim); sons, Terry Powers (Pamela) and Carl Powers (Linda) all of DE; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 10 am at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Hwy., Newark, DE where family and friends may visit from 9 to 10 am. Burial Service will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Charlotte to the "Friends of the Newark Free Library" and sent to 750 Library Ave., Newark, DE 19711.
