Elizabeth "Sue" Scarfo Obituary

Elizabeth Scarfo (Sue), age 101 of Newark, DE passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center in Rising Sun, MD. She was born in 1916 in Penns Grove, NJ to a family of twelve children. She lived a long and full life. She loved to cook and was devoted to her family and friends. She touched the hearts of all who knew her and gave new meaning to the word “ feisty”.

She was predeceased by her husband Carmine Scarfo. She is survived by four children, Dominic Scarfo of Newark, DE, Betty Campbell of Newark, DE, Richard Scarfo (Jane) of Rehoboth Beach, DE and Donna Kilby (Dave) of Port Deposit, MD, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She will be dearly missed by all.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at BEESON FUNERAL HOME, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will be private.
