Ethel M. (Simmons) Brown

Ethel M. Brown, age 84, of Bear, DE, formerly of Claymont, DE passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Broadmeadow Rehab Facility. The family would like to thank Broadmeadow for the wonderful care they provided.

She graduated from Chester High School class of 1952. Ethel married the love of her life, the late Daniel O. Brown in July of 1952. As husband and wife, they raised three children and Ethel worked in various school cafeterias as a lunch lady for many years. She retired in 1991 from Brandywood Elementary School.

Ethel was predeceased by her husband Daniel who passed away in 2014.

She is survived by her two sons Daniel T. (Debbie) and James R. (Elisa), her daughter Rhonda L. Cave (Jeff), her grandchildren Jimmy, Justin, Nicole, Jenna, Justin, Ronnie, Courtney, Jeffrey, and Joey. Along with her great grandchildren Kayla, Jackson, Hunter, Peyton, and Riley.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11am at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark DE 19702. The Visitation hour will begin at 10 am at the funeral home. The Committal Service will take place at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear at 1 pm.
