Harvard Anthony Hooper, age 54, of Newark DE, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 9, 2018.
Harvey loved spending his time with his grandchildren and swimming in the backyard pool. He was happiest when he was drinking a beer, listening to music, and snuggling his beloved Shih Tzu, Oscar. Of all the people he loved, his wife Carol was the apple of his eye, the center of his world, the Bonnie to his Clyde. Everyone who knew Harv knew that he lived to make Carol happy.
Harvey served honorably as a Sargent in the US Army in Desert Storm and traveled extensively during his service. After returning home, he worked for Astra Zeneca for 17 years, then more recently at Cott Refresco Beverage Co. He will be remembered as a hard worker, a loyal friend, and a loving soul.
Harvey is survived by his wife of 31 years, Carol, his daughter Amanda (Jose), his son Andrew (Cheyanne), brothers Dennis, Michael, Richard, sister Betty, four grandchildren Andrew, Miguel, Vivian and Layla as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday December 17, 2018 at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark where friends may call from 10:00 to 12:00. Burial will be private.
