James “Jimmy” Farrell, age 32 of Bear DE, passed away suddenly on Thursday July 25, 2019.
Jimmy is predeceased by grandparents Judith and Jerome Farrell, Walter W. Strock, and Thomas J. Ioven.
He is survived by his son Mason James Farrell (Jill Caldwell) and daughter, Paisley Nicole Farrell (Lauren ONeill), parents Joe Farrell (wife Lori), and Linda Putnam (husband Darrell), siblings Nicole Farrell, Ashley Farrell (Bryan Light), Ray Putnam, Kimberly Putnam, Davis Putnam, and Kennedy Putnam, grandparents Phyillis Ioven, Thomas Uhlein, and Nancy Barnes, uncles Doug Ioven, Gregg Farrell (wife Tammi), Jerry Farrell, Mike Farrell, and Thomas Barnes (wife Donna), his loving girlfriend and mother of Paisley, Lauren ONeill, and Mason's mother Jill Caldwell with whom Jimmy still had a close relationship with as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Jimmy graduated from Saint Mark’s High School and completed the nursing program at Delaware Technical Community College.
Jimmy was a registered nurse at Christiana Care and made endless friendships throughout his career.
He enjoyed football Sundays and watching the Philadelphia Eagles at his Dads. Jimmy was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, attending many Phillies, Eagles, Sixers, Flyers, and Villanova games.
One of Jimmy’s passions was music. “Music keeps me sane”, as he would say. He attended countless concerts to see his favorite musicians.
He enjoyed so many things in life, including spending time at the beach, fishing, music, Harry Potter, all things Philadelphia, buying new shoes and looking “fresh”, making memories with his family and friends, and most of all being a father to his two beautiful children.
Jimmy had a special place in his heart for his friends and family.
Above all, Jimmy loved his kids. He was a loving father to Paisley and Mason and loved spending time and creating lasting memories with them.
The family would like to invite anyone that knew Jimmy to please attend any of the following services to share their stories and memories of him.
A Viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702. Another Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home, where a Memorial service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will be private.
