Jeremiah Allyn O’Neill, age 39, of Smyrna, DE, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, May 9, 2018.
Jeremy graduated from Middletown High School in 1997 and in 1999 he graduated with an associate degree in the General Motors Automotive Service Education Program (ASEP) from Delaware Technical and Community College. He worked for several automotive dealerships before going to work for Amtrak as a car repairman in 2008.
He was a devoted volunteer at the Blackbird Quarter Midget Raceway and coached numerous soccer teams at the Kirkwood Soccer Club.
Jeremy is survived by his parents, Albert and Rhoby O’Neill, of Newark, DE, the love of his life, his daughter, Alexis Haley Murphy, his brothers; Patrick O’Neill and wife Sherri, their children, Mackenzie and Madelyn all from San Ramon, CA, Matthew O’Neill and wife Jenny, their son Sam all from Newton, NC, his daughters mother, Lori and brother Michael, his long-time friend Kelly Paoletti, his aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 7:00 PM at the BEESON FUNERAL HOME, 2053 Pulaski Hwy., Newark, DE 19702. A Viewing will be held prior to the service from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Interment will be private.
