Leah M. Geigel

Leah “Sissy” M. (Barkley) Geigel, 62, of Bear, DE (formally of Parkside, PA) died peacefully at Seasons Hospice on August 24, 2018 after her long battle with breast cancer. 

Born in Chester, PA, Sissy lived in Parkside for 24 years.  Sissy worked for the Penn-Delco School District for 18 years. She also worked at KinderCare and Walgreens.  She enjoyed spending her free time with her son, family, friends and beloved cat Tigger. 

Sissy was the daughter of the late Hewie and Vada Barkley.  She was preceded in death by her three brothers and two sisters.  Sissy was survived by her only son Jesus Geigel Jr. of Dowingtown, PA, along with her many friends and family.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday August 31, 2018 at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702 where friends may visit from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation to help raise awareness and find a cure for this devastating disease www.komen.org.
