Mark Chevalier Obituary

Mark D. Chevalier, age 57, of Claymont, DE passed away Monday, April 2, 2018.

A lifelong resident of Claymont, Delaware, Mark graduated from Claymont High School. He earned an Associate’s Degree from Delaware Technical Community College. He worked as a draftsman at Scott Paper.

He was very devoted to his family, friends, and his Christian faith. Most recently, Mark was a member of the Chichester United Wesleyan Church. He served as a Board Member, taught the adult Sunday school class, led Bible studies, and was a leader in the Celebrate Recovery program.

Mark was an avid bowler and enjoyed working at various area pro shops. He was a passionate Philadelphia sports fan and loved sharing the comradery of the games with friends and family.

Although Mark struggled with various illnesses and overcame many obstacles, he led a fulfilling life. He was known for his generosity and caring nature.  

He was predeceased by his parents, Clair D. and Marjorie E. Chevalier, as well as his brother, Allen.

Mark is survived by his sister Carol (Chris) Pilsbury and his brother Barry (Marcy) Chevalier. He is also survived by two nieces, Sarah Coenen and Suzanne Kolars, and his nephew, Barry Chevalier, Jr.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 11 am at Chichester United Wesleyan Church, 5151 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014. The Visitation hour will begin at 10 am at the Church. The Burial Service will immediately follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North Dupont Highway, New Castle, DE 19720.
