Sue Ellen Rolka

SueEllen Rolka, 65, of Bear, Delaware left us on June 6, 2019.  She passed into the arms of Jesus from home after struggling with multiple health issues.

SueEllen was born in Miami, FL to Betty Sue and Bill E. Vaughn and raised in Virginia Beach, VA.  She married Raymond Rolka on November 19, 1972.  They spent 46 years creating memories and doing life together, with their children, in Virginia, West Virginia, and Delaware. She loved her family immensely, both immediate and extended.  She was a wonderful homemaker, a skilled decorator, cook, and gardener, and a listening ear for many dear friends.  She always had a soft spot for the little ones and was a daycare provider for many years. She most enjoyed the time she spent caring for her two great-nieces and three great nephews. Although the beach, the pool, and her front porch were her favorite places to hang out, she loved visiting and laughing anywhere she was with family and friends. She was also a valued charter member of Xi Epsilon Chapter – Martinsburg, WV of Sigma Phi Gamma International Sorority. She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

SueEllen is survived by her husband, Raymond Rolka; her sons Robert Rolka and Austin Rolka; her daughter, Michelle Cobb; her brothers, Thomas Vaughn and Broox Vaughn ; her sister, Hope Vaughn; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Love of Christ Church, 2157 Bear Corbitt Road, Bear, Delaware on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 11am where visitation begins at 10am.
