Thomas Edward McGlothlin

Thomas E. McGlothlin, age 64, of Bear, Delaware, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

He graduated from Oxford High School in 1973. Thomas followed in the footsteps of his father by joining the carpenter’s union and worked as a carpenter for over 20 years. Later in life he started his own business as a real estate investor and continued working until his retirement.

Thomas was a member of Carpenter’s Union of Philadelphia and a Masonic member of the Jackson Lodge No.19 in Delaware City.

He was predeceased by his wife Judith L. McGlothlin in 1999 along with his father Curtis McGlothlin, his mother Edna Rotten, and his brother Glenn McGlothlin.

Thomas is survived by Carol McGlothlin, two sons Thomas McGlothlin II and Samuel McGlothlin (Bianca), his daughter Lyndsey Calvetti (Jesus), three grandchildren, Margaret, Joseph, Juan, and his two sisters Janet and Vic.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 3 pm at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702. The Visitation will begin at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial service will be private.
