Arthur Lee Holmes, Jr.

Arthur Lee Holmes, Jr. was born in 1952 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Arthur Lee, Sr. and Earlene Holmes. He was the second oldest of 4 children: Barry, Arthur, Denise, and Cheri. Arthur attended Bartrum High where he was a track star. He also attended Cheyney University and the Philadelphia Art Institute . Arthur was an outstanding artist and singer. He enjoyed creating music from his studio. He worked at Hahnemann Hospital where he was an operating room orderly. It was there that he met his beloved wife of 33 years, Kathy. Arthur leaves to cherish his memory his wife Kathy, fur baby Zeus, sister Denise & sister Cheri, aunt Eppsie, sister-in-law Jackie, nieces and nephews Barry Jr., Enjoli, Jennifer, Antoine, and Jade, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

To my dear husband, Art: You will forever be in my heart. I will always cherish the love we had for each other❤️. I love you.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 10-11:00 am at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702. A celebration of his life will take place at 11:00 am at Beeson Funeral Home. Interment will be private at a later date.
