Bertha "Sis" Brittingham Obituary

Bertha J. Brittingham or "Sis" as she was affectionately known, age 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 18, 2024.

Sis was born December, 1941 in Bishop, Virginia and moved with her parents to Philadelphia, PA in the late 1940’s where she grew up with her brothers and cousins. She eventually moved to Long Neck, Delaware to surround herself with sun and sand.

She will be fondly remembered for her love of Trivial Pursuit, rousing card games, Haagen Dass and amazing meatballs and pork roasts.

She is preceded in death by her parents Leo and Nancy Sabato, her son Anthony Sabato, her brother Phillip Sabato, and her loving niece Nicole Sabato.

Survivors include her daughter LeeAnn Capacchione; siblings Joseph (Regina) Sabato and Dennis (JoAnn) Sabato; grandchildren Dante’ Marshall, Nicholas Marshall, Amanda Marshall, Devon Sabato and great granddaughter Rosalie Alice Marshall and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and countless family that will miss her lively spirit and smile.
