Brenda Sue (Cockerham) Kessler

Brenda Sue Kessler (Cockerham), 71, of Wilmington, DE passed away after a long battle with Alzheimers on Friday January 3, 2020 at Regency Nursing Home.  She was born in1948 in Galax, Virginia, the daughter of Coy Harold and Florence (Cox) Cockerham.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was predeceased by her husband of 32 years Jerry Kessler Sr., brother Ronald Cockerham, grandson Mark Reed, great granddaughter Ashley Hanna and step-daughter Lisa Stroud.

She is survived by her three children Frank Hanna and wife Cheryl of Hartley, Delaware, Trudy Reed and husband Jim of Newark, Delaware and Melanie Kessler and fiancé Robert Reynolds of Selbyville, Delaware, step-daughters April Rector and husband Charles, Dawn Peel, Michelle Andrie and husband Jimmie, step-son Jerry Kessler Jr. and wife Tammy, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and brother William Cockerham. 

Please join in a service to celebrate her life at 12:00 noon on Saturday January 11, 2020 at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Hwy, Newark Delaware, 19720 where a visitation will begin at 11:00 am.
