Brian Singleton

Brian Singleton, age 63, of Bear, DE passed away peacefully on Saturday March 1, 2025. 

Brian graduated from John Dickinson High School in 1979. He began his career as a technician at Lawn Doctor in 1980 and worked his way up to an owner and just retired this year.

Playing softball was the happiest time in Brian’s life. He was also an avid golfer, enjoyed watching football with his dog, Remi, by his side and loved maintaining his beautiful lawn.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 23 years, Dawn, and his parents Leslie Edward Singleton and Ethel Holsten Vazquez.

He was survived by his stepdaughter Alison Zakreski (Steve Bermel), stepson Nate Zakreski, granddaughter Avery Zakreski, sisters Penny Miller (Allan) and Deann Stigliano (Rick), brother Jason Singleton (Gina), stepmom Rose Singleton and seven nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 3-4:00 pm at Christ the Cornerstone Church 3135 Summit Bridge Rd Bear, DE 19701. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm at the church. Interment will be private at a later date.
