Clara Y. (Yearicks) Fortner

Clara Yearicks Fortner, age 82, of Middletown, DE passed away suddenly on Friday, December 14, 2018.

Clara was born in Absecon, New Jersey, daughter of the late Jacob and Alice Yearicks. She was a dedicated employee of ACME Markets, where she was a cashier at the University Plaza store until her retirement.  Clara enjoyed her membership and all the activities with Ducks Unlimited.

Clara is predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Edward C. Fortner and her beloved lab, Shadow. She is survived by her daughters Theresa Sheridan (Bill) and Catherine Walls, her son Edward Fortner II (Rebekah), seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 11:00 am at BEESON FUNERAL HOME, 2053 Pulaski Hwy, Newark, DE 19702. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Interment will follow at 12:00 noon at the Hickory Grove Cemetery.
