Clara has gone to heaven to join her family, the last of nine children of Orlena and Eli Chester Blevins born on a farm in Pennsylvania. She was preceded by her husband, Harley J. McCoury in 1996. Clara is survived by three children, Charles of New York, Nancy (Jon) of Dover, and Sally (Rick) of Newark. Five grandchildren Tabitha, Tony (Brittany), Kelsey (Kevin), Rick and Alicia. Three great grandchildren Tony, Jackson, and Charlotte. A half sister June Blevins Knight (Michael) and half-brother Charles Blevins.
Clara drove a school bus for 46 years. Her goal was to drive for 50 years. In December 2015 she was stricken with Guillain-Barre Syndrome that paralyzed her legs ending her career of driving. When Clara was 70 years old, she worked two jobs, driving the bus during the day, evenings driving a tractor with the two hay wagons. On the weekends she was in charge of birthday parties and pony rides. That was the happiest time of her life working with tractors and horses. She always said she was going to ride to heaven, you will see that she is ready to go. Yahoo!
