Dana Howard Henshaw, 68, of Newark, Delaware, passed away at home on Sunday, August 15th. He was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania to George and Virginia Henshaw. His family moved to Delaware in 1955 where he attended public school and graduated from Christiana High School in 1971.
Ever dedicated to working hard, Dana held various part-time jobs and helped his dad run the family owned hardware store in the Brookside Shopping Center. In March of 1979, he started working for Wilmington Suburban Water Company (now Suez Water), where he worked for 36 years, until his retirement in 2015.
Dana was predeceased by his parents George and Virginia, and his son Nathan Henshaw. He leaves behind his wife of thirty-nine years, Lisa Henshaw (nee Reuschel), his daughter Laura, his son Samuel, his sister Georgina Prucino and her son Daniel Henshaw.
An online service will be held on Wednesday, August 25th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Seasons Hospice in Newark, Delaware.
