Obituary
David V. Tillman, age 76, of Bear, Delaware and formerly of Glen Cover, New York, passed away August 28, 2023 at Churchman Village Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
David attended Glen Cove High School in Glen Cove, New York and went on to work in construction, where he would work primarily with cement and concrete. He was a member of the Cement and Concrete Worker’s Union.
David is survived by his wife, Rita R. Tillman; his children: Chimene, Tyrone, and David “Flip” of Newark and Dover, Delaware; his grandchildren: Dequan, Sr., Ebonique, Tyrone, Jr., Tevone, Jonathan B., Amir, and Jonathan J.; his 11 great-grandchildren; his sisters Sandra Hilton, Nadia Seaman, Gloria Henderson, and Debbie Tillman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 3-4:00 pm at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, Delaware. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm at Beeson Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at Salem Cemetery in Robeson County, North Carolina at a later date.
