David "Dave" Iredell

David “Dave” Iredell, aged 82, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. 

Dave grew up in areas surrounding Reading, Pennsylvania, attending high school at Governor Mifflin and graduating from Lehigh University with his degree in Mechanical Engineering. 

As a devoted husband, father and grandfather, he will be remembered as a great man, a coach, a tutor, a sports lover, a lifeline, and the smartest man we will ever know. 

He was almost as dedicated to his work and colleagues as he was to his family. Dave had a long career with multiple engineering firms in his lifetime, last of which was KBR where he retired from. Dave worked on multiple engineering and IT solution programs with major companies while travelling the world to do so. 

His career transferred him to multiple locations, from Pennsylvania, Iowa, North Carolina and  Delaware, where he spent the remainder of his time with us. Dave loved the beach and upon retirement moved full time to Bethany Beach, DE. 

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Karen, his four children, Jeff, Greg and Chris (husband of Bebe), Becki and his four grandchildren, Camy, Samuel, Sydney and JoJo, and great grandson, Emmanuel (son of Samuel and Zuanette). And last, but not least, his best buddy, Clancy the Goldendoodle.
