Dawn Singleton Obituary

Dawn (Lloyd) Singleton, age 69, of Bear, DE, passed away suddenly, yet peacefully on Friday, August 30, 2024.

Dawn graduated from Brandywine High School in 1972. Her career began at Keen Compressed Gas where she worked for 8 years. The remainder of her career was spent working at Lawn Doctor where she and her husband owned 2 franchises.

Dawn loved Jesus and was a faithful member of Christ the Cornerstone Church. She loved spending happy hour at daughter Alison’s house and had a very close relationship with her granddaughter, Avery. She loved gardening, a joy shared with her son, Nate. She also enjoyed spending time with her cats, taking her dog on daily walks, recycling and cleaning up the environment, and feeding the ducks and geese at the pond next to her home. In addition, Dawn spent the last 13 yrs volunteering at Faithful Friends. Her kind and generous spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Dawn was preceded in death by her parents Ruth and James Lloyd.

She is deeply mourned by her husband of 23 years, Brian Singleton; daughter: Alison Zakreski (Steve Bermel); son: Nate Zakreski; granddaughter: Avery Zakreski; sister: Donna Abbott; and brother: Doug Lloyd.
