A beloved wife, daughter, mother and sister, Deborah Pringle passed away on September 1st, 2025. Despite the unexpected nature of her passing, we were able to surround her to provide comfort and love as she passed away.
Debbie was born in Rutland, Vermont and spent her early childhood in Fair Haven, Vermont before relocating to Glens Falls, New York. Debbie was a graduate of the Glens Falls High School (Class of 1973) before going on to the University of Vermont (Class of 1977) where she earned her B.A. in Psychology. Returning to Glens Falls, she was employed by TV Data, and shortly after met her future husband, Paul, and got married in 1981. They lived on West Mountain and started their family, welcoming their son, Ryan and daughter, Amanda, where Debbie focused on raising her family.
After relocating to Bear, Delaware, in 1987, the Pringle family settled into their new life. Debbie was the heart of the home, dedicating her time and energy to her children and their many pursuits. She was a constant presence in their lives, serving as a passionate volunteer in their schools and a steadfast supporter at their sports and extracurricular activities. Upon the enrollment of both her children at the University of Delaware, Debbie returned to the workforce and began a new career as a test administrator at the university, a role she greatly enjoyed.
Many of Debbie’s favorite memories included traveling with her family to Europe, cruises to the Caribbean, Disney World, visiting her sister’s family in California, and more. Continuing a cherished tradition that began in childhood, Debbie made annual trips to Old Orchard Beach, Maine. This became her lifelong "happy place," a tradition she faithfully continued for the rest of her life.
Debbie believed that family was the most important thing, and she poured her love into making every celebration special. She was known for weaving her unique personal flair into every family tradition and gathering, creating memorable moments that were documented through her library of photo albums, videos, and scrapbooks. Debbie took pride in how she dressed and decorated her home, which reflected her personality (in addition to enabling her shopping addiction!).
Debbie was preceded in death by her beloved father (John Ronald Williams). She is survived by her mother Kathleen Williams; husband Paul; son Ryan (Meghan); daughter Amanda; grandson Andrew Williams Pringle; sister Rhonda (Stan); niece Tamara Shenk (Travis); nephews Daniel Bowers (Rachelle) and Joseph Bowers (Brenna).
There will be two “Celebration of Life” ceremonies over the next couple weeks.
On Monday, September 8th from 12-3pm, we will be holding a Celebration of Life service and luncheon at the Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls, NY (88 Ridge St, Glens Falls, NY 12801). This event will include an opportunity for friends and family to pay their respects to Debbie and her family, listen to eulogies, and share stories over a buffet lunch and drink service.
On Saturday, September 13th a Celebration of Life service will be held at Beeson Funeral Home in Bear, DE (2053 Pulaski Highway, Bear, DE 19701). The service will begin with a traditional receiving line at 10:00am, with the Celebration of Life beginning at 11:00am. A reception at a local restaurant will follow the service. The ceremony at the Beeson Funeral Home will be live streamed and a link can be provided to those who cannot attend.
Debbie was an avid animal lover and especially adored our many family pets over the years. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to your local animal shelter or rescue.
