Deborah “Debbie” Lee Waugh, age 67, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026.
Born in 1958, Debbie lived a life marked by dedication to her work, deep love for her family and friends, and a passion for the simple joys that brought happiness to both herself and others.
A proud graduate of Middletown High School in Middletown, Delaware, Debbie built an impressive career spanning more than four decades. She dedicated 42 years to DuPont in Newark, Delaware, where she excelled as a final inspector in quality control. Her expertise and commitment to excellence earned her certifications in final inspection from both GE and Pratt & Whitney. Debbie greatly valued the friendships she formed with her colleagues and often spoke fondly of her work family.
Debbie was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan who found great joy in cheering on her team and sharing that enthusiasm with others, never hesitating to shout, “Go Birds!” Her love for cats was another defining part of her life; she adored her feline companions and treasured anything cat-related. Above all else, Debbie cherished the time she spent with her family, whether during everyday moments or special gatherings, holding those memories close to her heart.
She is survived by her sisters, Barbara Kollar; Carol (Wayne) Hutchison; and Audrey Waugh; her nephews, Lee Wright, Richard Kollar, Raymond Kollar, Wayne Hutchison Jr., David Wingate Jr., Kenny Pann, and Gary Lewis; and her nieces, Nicole Wright, Amanda Hutchison, Michelle Waugh, Michelle Kollar, and Dana Lewis; as well as nine great-nephews and eight great-nieces, all of whom will carry her memory forward with love.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Buddy R. Waugh; her mother, Esther Krauss Waugh DiGati; her stepfather, John P. DiGati; and her grandmother, Doris Krauss.
Debbie’s warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her—family members, friends, colleagues, and fellow Eagles fans alike.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, Delaware.
May Debbie’s legacy of love bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
