Dolores (Popo/Wilson) Cummings

In loving memory of Dolores (Popo/Wilson) Cummings, age 82, of Bear, Delaware, who passed away on October 13, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was a truly remarkable woman, radiating beauty both inside and out. Her selflessness knew no bounds as she dedicated herself to her friends and family, always going the extra mile to ensure their happiness. Not only was she a loving mother, but also a devoted wife, a cherished daughter, a beloved sister and, proud grandmother. In her younger years, she relished the company of lifelong friends, spending countless hours with them playing cards. Later in life, she and her dear friends enjoyed trips to Delaware Park, where somehow, she often left with a pocket full of winnings. Most of all, she cherished the tradition of Sunday dinners with her family, for whom she held the deepest affection. Her family was the core of her heart, and her love for them was immeasurable.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Rose (DeFlippo/Popo) Wilson, her father James “Jimmy” Popo, and her sister Anna Marie (Popo/Wilson) Troiani, as well as brothers Paul Popo, Robert “Bobby” Popo and, Thomas “Tommy” Popo.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Larry Cummings Sr.; her 5 children: Linda Callaway (Patrick Sr), Jacqueline Cummings, Kenny Cummings, Larry Cummings Jr., and Jennifer Cummings; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

 A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, where we will remember the light she brought into all our lives.
