Doo Ae (Choe) Jackson

Doo Ae Choe Jackson passed away on March 9, 2026, with her loving husband at her side after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born on February 5, 1938 in Kyongjoo Korea, to parents Chae-ok Choe and Oh-Shim Jhang. She married her husband James M. Jackson on October 27, 1965. 

Doo-Ae retired from JC Penney custom drapery department where she was employed as a seamstress. She later managed Christiana Laundromat and Dry Cleaners, which she briefly co-owned and operated with her husband. 

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James M. Jackson, and son Jeffery Jackson, both of Bear, DE, grandson Xavier Jackson (Hallie), great grandsons Lucas and Koa Jackson, all of Woodbridge, VA.

A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 10:00am-11:00am at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be private.
