Eleanor L. (Boyarsky) Dury passed away unexpectedly in Dover, Delaware on January 12, 2021 at the age of 83.
Eleanor was born 1937 in Bayonne New Jersey to Herman and Theresa Boyarsky. After graduating from North Arlington High School in 1954, she worked as a secretary before marrying her husband, Frank Dury in 1957. After raising a family, Eleanor returned to the work force, at BF Rich, in Stanton, Delaware, where she made many life-long friendships with many of her coworkers.
After retirement, Eleanor and Frank moved from New Castle to Hartly, Delaware, to enjoy rural life, and road-tripping with their travel trailer. Many winters were spent enjoying warmer climates, especially Florida, and meandering back to Delaware in the spring.
Eleanor is survived by her loving husband, Frank and four daughters Diana Marcus (Chuck), Catharine Dury, Jeanne Davis (Matt), and Lorraine Hayes (John). Also surviving are sister Irma Davis (Bill) and brother Mark Boyarsky (Barbara). Eleanor also leaves 9 grandchildren Jason Marcus, Tess Fulk, Jennifer Steele, Jacob Steele, Jeremy Steele, Joe Dury, Madalyn Lucas, Jack Hayes and Julia Hayes and 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by grandson Jesse Steele.
Eleanor loved her crossword puzzles and dog Zoey. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Services will be private, with a committal at Delaware Veteran’s Cemetery, Bear, Delaware.
