Elizabeth M. (Rumford) Roser

Elizabeth “Betty” M. Roser (nee Rumford), age 87, of Newark, Delaware, passed away on December 28, 2022 at home.

She was born in Chester, Pennsylvania to parents Charles and Alberta (Colonna) Rumford. While Betty was in elementary school, the family moved to Wallingford, Pennsylvania. She attended Nether Providence High School prior to her marriage of 67 years to Wayne M. Roser. Her husband preceded her in death in March of 2020.

Betty was a homemaker and a loving mother; raising her 3 children, alongside her husband, in Brookhaven, Pennsylvania. They lived in Brookhaven for 23 years before moving to Delaware. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren meant the world to her. She loved spending time with her family. She also loved playing cards, listening to music, dancing, cooking, and reading.

She is survived by her daughters Debbie Roser of Newark, Delaware and Karen Rembold (Michael) of Middletown, Delaware; son Wayne C. Roser of Newark, Delaware; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; and her sister Ada Green of Boothwyn, Pennsylvania.
