Gayle L. (Thompson) McGrath

Gayle L. McGrath, age 77, of Newark, Delaware, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 13th, 2026.

Devoted wife, mother, MomMom and Great Grandmom, Gayle loved spending time with her spouse, Greg and their dog, Carter. Gayle loved quilting and knitting and she shared her creations with her family, keeping everyone snuggled and warm.

She is survived by her daughters: Kimberly Holloran (Dan), Melinda Babiak (Robert), and Jennifer Glavin (Matt); son: Mark McGrath (Melanie); grandchildren: Sabreena, Shaun, Shae, Madison, Ella, Addie, Olivia, and Dana; and great-grandchild Noah.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 10-11:00 am at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am.
