Grace Lucile (Miller) Kropiewnicki

Grace Lucile Kropiewnicki (born Miller), age 69, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023 surrounded by her dearest friends and family. The staff at Bayhealth Hospital took incredible care of Grace in her final days and the family will forever be grateful for their compassion. Grace was visited by the wonderful volunteer therapy dogs Finn, Mouse, and Rosie before being removed from life support to begin her final journey.

Grace loved her children and their partners and was incredibly proud of her “gay kids”. She was a supporter of all animals, the less fortunate, human rights, and couldn’t understand a world that could be cruel to anyone. She fought until her last breath and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Grace is survived by her husband of 34 years, Ted Kropiewnicki; son Dante Puleio and his partner Lane Wood; daughter Kelly Puleio and her wife Tamara Costa; stepson David Kropiewnicki, his wife Marlo and daughter Morgan; stepdaughter Lisa Kropiewnicki; brother David Miller, sisters Cathy Small and Nancy McFadden; best friend of 54 years, Gail McLean; dogs Hershey and Bella; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Grace is preceded in death by her father Harold Miller Sr, mother Adeline Stueber, brother Harold Miller Jr, sisters Carolyn Blaylock and Janet Boutillier.

A viewing will take place on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 10am followed by a celebration of life at 11am at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Hwy, Newark, DE. Entombment will take place at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N Dupont Hwy, New Castle, DE, following the service.
