Gregory Walter Fink, age 78, of Bear, Delaware, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Cadia Rehabilitation Center.
Greg was born in Belleville, New Jersey, in 1947, and attended Bloomfield Technical High School graduating in 1966. He then attended Glassboro State College, graduating in 1970, and began his career as an educator.
Greg worked as an industrial arts teacher in the Christina School District for 35 years. He began teaching at Ogletown Middle School, now Kirk Middle School, moving to Glasgow High School for the majority of his career. He also spent 40 years working as a mate on fishing boats during his summers.
Greg was a talented model builder of ships, planes and cars. He enjoyed car racing and loved attending both Nascar races and the Indy 500. Mostly he enjoyed being in Lewes, Delaware, among his many friends, being in the sunshine, and on the open water.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents Walter Fink and Mary Hill Fink. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Barbara Harrington Fink, his sons Nicholas and Michael, his three brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Jane Fink of MN, Jeff and Brenda Fink of CA, and Keith and Susan Fink of IN. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law, Joseph Earl Harrington, John Dalfovo, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 10-11:00 am at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702. A celebration of life will follow at 11:00 am.
A second celebration will be held in Lewes, Delaware in the spring.
