Harold Moore went unexpectedly to join the Lord on December 31, 2024 at the age of 79.
Harold was born in Marion, VA in 1945 to Maude and Edward Moore. He was the youngest son of 12.
He was employed with General Motors for 34 years and was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. He made many friends during his days at GM.
Harold loved to spend time with his family. He was a football and NASCAR fan along with many other sports. He loved to listen to music, especially that of Elvis, Jonny Cash, and Hank Williams. Harold enjoyed the Spring and Summer and would often be found sitting outdoors with friends and family enjoying a beer. He was an eternal learner and watched or read educational material during his free time.
Harold’s wit and humor will surely be missed by his family and friends. He loved God and could recite many passages from the Bible by heart. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now in the company of loved ones who have passed and are in God’s company.
Harold is survived by his children: Harold, Jr. (Dianna Delligatti), Christopher Moore (Deana), Tammy Malone, and Lisa Fletcher (Bruce); his grandchildren: Ryan, Corey, Ashley, McKenzie, Zachary, Sydney, Shelby, Kyle, Meghan, and Sean; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters: Helen and Nola Jean (Harry); and his special friend Debbie Mahan.
Services for Harold will be private.
