Helen D. MacLaren

Helen D. MacLaren, age 76, of Newark Delaware, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Christiana Care.

She worked at Avon in Newark, Delaware for over 20 years.

Helen was predeceased by her parents, Champ and Gertrude Parker, sister-in-law Linda Parker and beloved daughter Doretta “Dee” Lind.

She is survived by her husband, Gary MacLaren and would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on June 26, 2022.   Helen is also survived by her grandsons Trevor and Justin Jump (Dee’s sons); son Ronnie (Dawn) Browning of Newark, Delaware (grandchildren Ronnie, Payton and Madison); daughter Lori Hyatt (grandchildren Frankie and Champ); step-children Lori MacLaren of Florida (grandchildren Kayla and Brady), Michelle (Will) Westerman of North Carolina (grandchildren Amanda (JP) and Brad (Alyssa) and great-granddaughter Addison), Todd MacLaren of Pennsylvania (grandchildren Brittany (Mike) (great grandchildren Gavin, Max and Michael) (grandchildren Shenley and Shane), Tara (Bill) Mazey of Pennsylvania (grandson Blaise). She is also survived by her siblings, Arlene (Bob) Snyder of Pennsylvania, Joe (Stacey) Parker of Delaware, Tommy Parker of Delaware, James (Ruth) Parker of Delaware and Patty; nieces, nephews and many friends who loved her dearly.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, Delaware 19702 where a service celebrating Helen’s life will begin at 11:00 am.  Pastor Vaughn will be presiding. Burial will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, Delaware.
