Helen B. (Biebricher) Shaub

Helen B. Shaub, age 82, of Newark, Delaware, peacefully transitioned on Friday, June 6, 2025.

Helen was born in 1942, in Bryn Mawr, PA, as the only child of her late parents, Kurt and Ann Biebricher. She proudly represented and honored her heritage, with her father having immigrated from Germany and her mother from Romania.

Helen graduated from Marple Newton High School in 1960. At the age of 17, she began her career at Bell Telephone Company. Over the years, she worked for various organizations, including TV Guide, Broadbent Insurance, Home Healthcare Agency, and as an Avon representative.

Helen had a zest for life and a wide array of interests. She was an avid fan of Elvis, cherished German music and cultural traditions, and had a passion for clothes, jewelry, and shopping. Helen was also dedicated to her community, volunteering and leading the coloring group at the Senior Center. She enjoyed dining out, playing games and cards, and most importantly, spending time with her family. Family gatherings and vacations were her favorite, where she could be surrounded by her sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Donald L. Shaub.

She is survived by her sons: Gary K. Shaub (Gladys) and Robert L. Shaub (Cynthia); her grandchildren: Amanda R. Cordrey, Christie L. Wright, and Robert W. Shaub; and her great- grandchildren: Simaya G. Wright, Isaiah N. Wright, Madison G. Cordrey, and Eliza J. Cordrey.

A visitation will be held from 6-7:00 pm on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702. The service will follow immediately after from at 7:00 pm. All are welcome to attend. Interment will be private at Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE.
