Inez (Moore) Stamps

Inez Stamps, age 85, of Bear, Delaware and formerly of Kissimmee, Florida, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025 in Newark, Delaware

Inez attended Dudley Elementary School in North Carolina and graduated from Carver High School in Mount Olive, North Carolina, class of 1957. She went on to earn her associates degree from Bronx Community College in 1976 and her bachelor’s degree from Adelphi University in Long Island, New York in 1987. Inez worked as a mental health case worker in psychiatric health and later as a social worker in child welfare. She was a member of the Eastern Star Organization.

Inez is preceded in death by her husband, Troll Stamps and her son, Jesse Moore.

She is survived by her son: Rick (Sheila) of Delaware; her daughter: Desiree (Garnet) of North Carolina; her daughter-in-law: Sybil of Tennessee; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and lots of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

A viewing will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 2-3:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 149 Landers Ln., New Castle, DE 19720. A funeral service will take place at 3:00 pm following the viewing at the Kingdom Hall. Interment will be private at a later date at Delaware Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Bear, Delaware.
