James B. Oliver

James B. “Jim” Oliver, age 75, of Bear, DE passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020. 

Jim grew up in Syracuse, NY and graduated from Syracuse University in 1975.  He retired from General Chemical after forty years of service.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1966-1970.  During his time in the Air Force, he served in the Vietnam War.  Jim enjoyed woodcarving, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren and dogs. 

Jim was predeceased by his parents, Hugh and Ruth (Bussey) Oliver; sister, Sharon; brother, Ken and beloved beagles, Cody, Ollie and Lucy. 

Jim is survived by his wife, Patricia; sons, Brian Oliver (Dana), Jonathan Oliver (Maggie); step-children, Erin Easton (Brett), Katie Toole (Brandon), Molly Tribbitt (Wesley), Kevin McLaughlin (Anna); grandchildren, Anna, Leah, Chase, Aubree, Charlotte, Rebecca, Ryan, Emily, Bridget, Morgan; brothers, Cliff Oliver, Steve Oliver; and his many grand-pups.

Services will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim's name to Faithful Friends Animal Society or The Food Bank of Delaware.
