Jane Berger Obituary

On May 23, 2021, Jane D. Berger, 85, danced into heaven, took her place in the choir, and started singing with the angels - something she was longing for and talked about often.  Janie was an avid reader, adored her cats and dogs, loved working on puzzles, never missed a yard sale or the chance to eat vanilla ice-cream, and loved to take long walks.  She worked for DuPont for over 30 years and was loved by her bosses and co-workers alike.

Janie loved her family fiercely and was happiest when she was surrounded by those whom she loved.  She was predeceased by the love of her life, William Charles Berger, Sr., her first born son, William Charles Berger, Jr. her mother, Carrie Dill, and her sisters and brothers, whom she missed intensely.  She is survived by her daughter Carrie (Gabriele) Verrocchio and son Timothy (Casey) Berger, and her grandchildren, Alicia (Donny), Lynnea (Brent), Sarah (James), Christina, Lauren, Nathan, Samuel (Maddie), Rebecca, and Elizabeth (Erik), great-grandson, Jax and many other family and friends who meant the world to her.

Janie lived most of her life in Wilmington, Delaware but spent the last few years of her life in upstate New York.  Wherever she was, she brought a smile, a laugh, an opinion, and her love of sweets.

She will be missed and loved forever.
