Jean Frances (Allen) Dominick, age 87, of Lake City, FL passed away on October 29, 2022 at Haven Hospice. Jean was born in Wilmington, DE where she lived until retirement. Jean attended George Gray Elementary School, Warner Jr. High School, and Brown Vocational High School where she took up printing. Until she married, Jean worked at Diamond Printing, located at 13th and French Street.

Jean was devoted to her family. When her children were grown, she spent most of her time volunteering at churches and soup kitchens and traveling with her beloved husband, Carl. Jean enjoyed puzzles, Scrabble, reading her Bible, and watching the 700 Club and Monk.

Jean is preceded in death by her husband Carl Dominick and daughter Diana Dominick, parents: James Robert Allen and Cleo Patra Sieg Allen, two brothers: Schuyler and Bob, six sisters: Annabelle, Norma, Margaret, Arlene, Cleo, and Sarah.

Jean is survived by daughter Sandra Ward, son Richard Dominick Sr. (Kathy), 13 grandchildren: Julia Deputy, Richard Dominick Jr., Amy Deputy, Karen Deputy, Sheri Griest, Jen Carmona (Bruce), Tamara Griffin (Jake), Tyler Ward, Bethany McCloud (Ian), Travis Ward, Summer Harrison, Melinda Ward, Rachel Ward, 15 great-grandchildren, and two brothers: David Allen and Charles Allen.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 from 11:30-12:30 pm at Beeson Funeral Home 2053 Pulaski Highway. Newark, DE 19702. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 pm at Beeson Funeral Home with a  committal service to follow in Delaware Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
