Joan D. (Plaugher) Roux

Joan D. Roux, age 89, of Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 22, 2022. 

Joan was born in Upper Chichester, PA, the daughter of Charles and Florence Plaugher.  She had made Elkton her home for the past 1.5 years.

Joan was a sweet but stubborn woman who enjoyed cooking, baking, and playing games on her iPad.  She most enjoyed spending time with her two great-grandchildren. 

Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur R. Roux, and her three brothers, Robert Plaugher, Charles Plaugher, and Lawrence Conley.   

She is survived by her son, Michael Roux (Yvette) of Mims, FL, her daughter Kimberly Workman (Brian) of Elkton, MD; granddaughter Kelli Workman (Justin) of Pike Creek, DE; granddaughter Caitlyn Roux of Ellijay, GA and her two great-grandchildren Jackson Worden and Carlynn Roux-Jones.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 10:00 am at Delaware Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
