Joann (Mason) Kuhn

Joann Kuhn passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at the age of 82.

Joann was born in Wilmington, DE in 1940, the daughter of the late Dorothy (Mancini) and William Mason, Sr.  Joann attended Wilmington High School. Joann was a homemaker to her loving husband and children.  Joann enjoyed making homemade pizza, Italian wedding soup, pizzelles and biscotti.  She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, going to Dover Downs, playing card games and trips to Woody’s Crab House for Alaskan Snow Crab and a glass of Merlot. She enjoyed playing games and having water balloon fights with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Joanne attended Christ the Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Bear, DE.

Joann is predeceased by her husband, Blaine Kuhn; son, Wayne Kuhn and twin brother Joseph Mason.  She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Vicki Davis, Lynn Irwin (Jeffrey) and Donna Kitts (Daniel Tharby); her grandchildren; Krista Haun (Kevin), Ryan Davis, Michael and Matthew Irwin, Emily Kuhn; her great-grandchildren Madison and Ava Haun and her siblings Angeline Little, Jacqueline Jackson, William Mason, Jr. and Viola Casey.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Hwy., Newark DE. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Beeson Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
