Joanne Linton Kornack Obituary

         

On January 28, 2024, Joanne Linton Kornack, age 77, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully at home.

She was the proud mother of Andrew Kornack. Joanne was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware and educated in the Wilmington schools.  She graduated from Mount Pleasant High School. Joanne had a fulfilling and successful career as a Real Estate Agent. Joanne was a member of the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant for over 50 years, where she served as an elder, deacon, Sunday School teacher and Circle Leader.

She was predeceased by her devoted husband, George Kornack, parents James and Ida Mae Linton and brother, Jimmy.  Besides her son Andrew, she is survived by her sister, Carol Gunning, as well as a host of nieces and nephews and a wonderful group of friends.

 A committal service will be held at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE on February 28, 2024 at 1 pm. Friends and family are invited to join together for a meal in remembrance at the Brandywine Hundred Fire Hall, 1006 Brandywine Blvd, Wilmington, DE 19809 on February 28 at 2:45pm.   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Joanne’s name to Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, 503 Duncan Road, Wilmington, DE 19809.
