John A. Olenderski

John A. Olenderski, of Newark, Delaware, passed away peacefully at home on October 28, 2022 at the age of 77. He was born in Wilmington, Delaware to Walter and Sophie Olenderski (deceased). John worked at General Motors for 32 years. John’s favorite past time was fishing. He adored fishing with his family and friends.  He also enjoyed growing tomatoes in his garden and sharing them with everyone.

John was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, grandfather and mentor. He always taught his family to stand up for themselves and to be kind to everyone. He would say, “No one is better than you, because everyone puts their pants on the same way...one leg at a time.” John will be lovingly remembered by his high school sweetheart and love of his life, wife of 58 years, Linda (Amoroso) Olenderski. He was a proud and devoted father to his children, daughter Debbie (son-in-law, Marty), and son Jeff (daughter-in-law, Jennifer). He was an amazing, supportive grandfather to Amber (Steve), Austin, Taryn and Logan.  John is survived by sister Betty and predeceased by brothers Walter and Gene, and sister Carol.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 pm at Beeson Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
