Joshua Jacob Davis, age 42, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023.

Josh was born in Wilmington, DE, the son of Joseph Davis and Joann (Vlasveld) Davis. He attended Kirk Middle School and Christiana High School and is a graduate of Groves School.

Josh was a talented athlete who excelled in multiple sports. He enjoyed baseball, football and ice hockey. Josh was a bright light with immense energy. He was friends with everyone and would always make you feel welcome. He would do anything for a laugh and always enjoyed a good dare. Anyone that truly knew him, knew he had such a big heart and the funniest sense of humor. He was always the first person to offer a helping hand to those in need. He had the kindest soul, and his family meant the world to him. Gone too soon, he will be dearly missed by all.

Josh was preceded in death by his mother Joann (Jody) Davis, grandfather Nicholas Vlasveld and grandmothers Margaret Vlasveld and Garnette Davis. Josh is survived by his father Joseph Davis Sr., brother Joseph Davis Jr., uncles and aunts Rick and Cindy Davis, Jake and Jan Davis, Brenda Hubbs, Sharon and Darrel Cook, Robert and Carla Richardson, Sue Shepherd, Nick Vlasveld, Scott and Brenda Miller and many cousins with whom Josh was very close. He also leaves behind his family dog Banjo.
