Judith T. (Trippy) Allen Fetterman, age 67, of Newark, DE, originally of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully Tuesday July 5, 2022. Her soul departed this Earth surrounded by loved ones in Hospice at Wilmington Hospital.
Judi was born in 1954 in Wilmington, DE to the late Ralph M. Allen Jr, of Bryn Mawr, PA and the late Marjorie Etta (Tripp) Allen of Lyndonville VT. Judi is survived by a large, loving family including her deeply devoted husband Richard Fetterman, originally of Hazelton, PA; step-son Eric Fetterman, wife Cynthia and granddaughters Lucille and Elena; daughter Genevieve (Hall) Kerstetter and husband Steve; son Zachary Fetterman; brothers Randy Allen, Mitchell Allen and wife Sandy, Bob Allen, wife Barbara and 3 nephews and their families; Ron Allen and wife Donna, Rick Allen, wife Kim and nephew Evan. She is recently preceded in death by her sweet mother Marjorie in 2018 and nephew Rick Jr. in 2021.
Judi graduated from William Penn High School in 1972 and attended the University of Delaware. She began her career as an executive secretary at Continental American Life Insurance Company and later switched to the law field and worked as a legal secretary until she retired.
Judi was always outgoing and turned strangers into friends wherever she went, and she will be deeply missed by those many friends and neighbors whom she thought of as family as well. She was a part time resident of White House Beach in Long Neck, DE for many years and loved boating, swimming, and everything beach related, and at home loved lounging in the pool.
Judi loved to laugh, loved music, butterflies, dragonflies and dogs, especially her dog Daisy who is grieving her loss as well. She was a loyal Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan and rarely missed a game on TV. So when you see a butterfly, or pet a dog, or maybe hear a Beatles, Elton John or Queen song, smile, because Judi is with you smiling by your side.
