In Loving Memory of Judy Johnson

Judy Johnson, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home in Bear, Delaware, on May 25, 2024, surrounded by the love of her children. She will forever be remembered by those who knew her.

Judy was born in 1941 in Oklahoma to Mary Delong Stevenson and Kenneth Stevenson.  In 1960, she married the love of her life, Ralph Johnson, beginning a partnership that was the cornerstone of her family's happiness.  The couple moved to New Orleans where they made a home and raised their family. Judy was a homemaker, a florist, and had an uncanny talent for interior design.  She could look at a room or an element in a room and then create the perfect décor for it.   Her happiest times were family vacations, weekend barbeques, and trying new restaurants.

Judy is survived by her three daughters, Terrie Johnson, Linda Johnson, and Rebecca Johnson (Matthew Phillips); five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her brother, Larry Stevenson (Janet); numerous nieces and nephews; and a community of friends and loved ones who will forever hold her dear in their hearts. She is predeceased by her husband, Ralph, her parents, Mary and Kenneth Stevenson, and their beloved dog, Anabel.

May her soul find eternal peace, and may she always be remembered for her beautiful smile and her love for her family.

A Memorial Service will be held at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, Delaware 19702 at 1:00 pm on Thursday May 30, 2024 with a visitation from 12:00 until 1:00 pm.  A private burial will be held at a later date.
