L. Weldon Hartis, retired MSGT U.S. Army passed away on January 23, 2021.
He is survived by his son Keith, of Pike Creek, a sister, Dorothy H. Taylor of Landenberg and several nieces. His wife, Shirley Foraker Hartis passed away in 2011 after 60 years of marriage.
Weldon served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was a member of the Granite Corinthian Lode # 34 AF and AM for over 65 years. In his early career, he worked for All American Engineering Company. The last 10 years of his military career, he served as a fulltime representative for the commandant. Upon retiring from the military, Weldon worked for the Superior Court.
Funeral services will be private.
