Logan Jarrell Obituary

It is with profound sorrow and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, Logan M. Jarrell, of Newark, DE, who passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at the age of 21.  Though her time with us was all too brief, she brought immeasurable love, joy, and inspiration to everyone who knew her.  Time and again, she showed that through kindness and understanding, one can make a meaningful impact on the world around us.

Logan was born in 2004 in Newark, DE, to her loving parents, Terri S. and David W. Jarrell.  Despite facing multiple medical conditions throughout her life, she approached her journey with incredible resilience, grace, and an unwavering fighting spirit. While her health made her path different from most, her bright smile, bravery, and determination touched countless lives. She taught us all the true meaning of strength and how to find light in the darkest of days.

Logan completed her high school education by attending the Virtual Academy at Sarah Pyle and earned her diploma in 2023.  During these years, she discovered and nurtured her talent for creating, enabling her to bring happiness to others.  She would often be found behind her easel painting various scenes, or listening to music while knitting or crocheting items for her family and friends.  These expressions of her generous and loving heart will be treasured forever. Driven by her passion for knitting and crocheting, Logan joined the Yarnivores, a group that shared her enthusiasm, meeting weekly with them at the Newark Library.  Along with her creations, Logan leaves behind a profound legacy of love and perseverance, inspiring everyone who knew her to face life’s challenges with courage and compassion.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Brian Jarrell and his wife, Berenice; her grandmother, Betty D. Jarrell; her boyfriend, Logan M. Graham, and a loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, J. Harry Jarrell and her maternal grandparents, Donald R. and Diane M. Shipengrover.

A visitation will be held on July 1, 2026 from 3-4:00 pm at St. Margaret of Scotland Parish, 2431 Frazer Road, Newark, DE  19702 with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 4:00 pm. Friends and family are invited to gather and share their favorite memories of her. Interment will be private at a later date.
