Loreen Betty (Wyatt) Miller

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beautiful sister, Loreen Betty Miller, age 59, of Dover, DE on September 10, 2023.

To Friends and Family, Loreen was known as “Betty”. Betty was a beautiful person inside and out. She cared so deeply for the people around her. She was kind, passionate, and generous. She was strong-willed and stubborn at times, but she also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. Betty made an impact on many lives. She was truly a devoted Sister and Friend.

Betty had a passion for cats, and she leaves behind two: Pepper and Simba. She enjoyed Nascar racing and going to the shore. She was a hard worker who spent many years as an in-home caretaker. She worked for a period of time at Moderate Maturity in Dover as well as several housekeeping positions.

Loreen is preceded in death by her parents: John and Joan Wyatt, her adoptive parents: Jim and Dottie Benson, her brother: William, and her sister: Jane.

She is survived by her sisters: Helen Parker, Darlene Stiff, Jeanette Moore; her brothers: Norwood Wyatt, John Gabins, as well as brothers Jim, Mark, and Dave Benson; and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023 from 1-2:00 pm at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at Beeson Funeral Home. Inurnment will be private at Gracelawn Memorial Park at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, her family suggests random acts of kindness performed in Betty’s name.
